A Drow Elf who persuaded Lord Duffington to bring him to Arantus from a sister world called The Forgotten Realms through a planar fissure, purportedly to escape the matriarchal tyranny of his native culture. He was taken under the tutelage of Lord Duffington and became his apprentice. Madame Duffington believes that Hadrajhast may have had something to do with her husband’s death.
Hadrajhast pretended to be extremely grateful to Lord Duffington, but covertly worked to convince all of Lord Duffington’s apprentices to betray him, arguing that Duffington was moving too slowly and cautiously in his research efforts. The apprentices were all eventually persuaded by Hadrajhast, the exception being the warlock Ramardal, Duffington’s first and oldest apprentice, who stayed loyal to his master and fellow Torchbearer to the very end.
Secretly, Hadrajhast and three of the other apprentices – Alanada (Ramardal’s daughter), as well as the two elven brothers Dureshar Greenleaf and Isonay Greenleaf – began opening planar fissures to the Abyss, and negotiated with a dretch demon named Kuzgug who Hadrajhast succeeded in bringing through the fissure. Together, Hadrajhast, Kuzgug, and the three apprentices plotted to overtake the tower and open a permanent portal to the Abyss. When Lord Duffington saw hordes of demonic beasts invading Glyph’s tower, he intentionally set off a massive explosion that demolished much of the tower and killed most of the beastly invaders, though knocking himself unconscious. Hadrajhast and Kuzgug captured Lord Duffington and used his blood to enhance the power of their Planar Portal ritual.
